Ahmad E Samman
Assistant professor
I am an assistant professor of meteorology and climate change. I am teaching several courses at all undergraduate levels (Introduction to Meteorology, Climate change, Atmospheric Thermodynamics, Physical Meteorology, Meteorological Instruments) as well as working on multiple research projects. My research interests include interdisciplinary climate studies, sustainability, clean and renewable energy particularly solar and wind energy. I also focus on understanding and predicting thunderstorm systems, their evolution, rainfall and severe weather in Arid land, as well as examining and predicting mesoscale phenomena in the Arabian Peninsula. An important part of this research is utilizing regional and convection-allowing numerical model such as WRF.
